Rokna
The tradition of a Rokna ceremony is to symbolize the coming together of the two families of the couple. Rokna literally means to stop. It symbolizes the search of the families of the boy and the girl for their soul mate has stopped.
Our Rokna took place in Berlin, New Jersey. During the ceremony, Papa and Ankur put tilak on Karan’s forehead. This is a gesture to accept and welcome Karan into the the family. Karan was fed with whole ladoos from Brampton, which he graciously accepted. Ladoos are Karan’s one of the many favourite desserts and ofcourse of Lord Ganesha’s.
Following this, Mumma showered Shweta with tilak enveloped with her warmth and love. Subsequently, Karan and Mumma met the immediate Gupta family members back in Brampton.
